# Free YouTube video templates

> Landscape 16:9 templates for channel intros, lower thirds, chapter cards and end screens. Edit the text and export a 1080p MP4 ready for YouTube Studio.

- Page: https://cutluma.com/templates/for/youtube
- 72 templates; each opens in the editor with a free account and exports as MP4.

A YouTube video is 16:9, usually 1920 × 1080, and the pieces around your footage are what make a channel look like a channel: a short animated intro, a lower third with your name, chapter title cards between sections, a breaking-news or ticker treatment for commentary, and an end screen that leaves room for YouTube’s own subscribe and video elements. The templates on this page are built at that size and kept short so they drop into a longer edit without padding it.

You do not need a motion-graphics app for this. Open the intro template, type your channel name, change the colours, trim it to three or four seconds and export. Or build the whole video here: import your footage, lay the intro at the start, put lower thirds on a track above the camera clip and end with the outro card. AI captions in 17 languages are available on paid plans, and each caption is a text clip you can correct.

## Tips

- **Keep the intro under five seconds** — Viewers skip long openers. Trim the intro template to the length of its animation, or place it after a short cold open so the first thing on screen is the content.
- **Leave the end screen frame empty on the right** — YouTube overlays its subscribe button and video cards in the last 20 seconds. The end-screen templates keep text to one side so nothing is covered.
- **Reuse one lower third across the channel** — Set your name, role and colours once, save the project and reuse it in every upload. A consistent lower third does more for recognition than a different animation each time.

## FAQ

**Are the YouTube intro templates free?**

Yes. Edit and export any intro template with a free account; free exports are 1080p with a small watermark, and paid plans export clean, up to 4K on Pro.

**What size are YouTube video templates?**

YouTube is 16:9, and the templates here are 1920 × 1080. You can export at 1080p for free, with 4K on the Pro plan.

**Can I edit the whole video, not just the intro?**

Yes. CutLuma is a full multi-track editor, so you can import footage, cut it, add titles and music and export the finished video from the same project.

**Can I make a Short from the same project?**

Yes. Switch the project to 9:16 or use Magic Resize, drag to reframe the footage and export a vertical version for Shorts.
