## How it works

1. **Drop in your video** — It opens on the timeline straight away.
2. **Set the rotation** — Select the clip and type 90, 180 or 270 in the Rotation field of the inspector, or drag the rotation handle on the preview for a fine angle.
3. **Export** — Download the corrected MP4.

## Why CutLuma for this

- **Any angle** — Quarter turns for upside-down footage, or 2–3 degrees to level a crooked horizon.
- **Fix the shape too** — A rotated landscape clip becomes portrait. Use the Resize tool to switch the canvas to 9:16 so there are no black bars.
- **Rotate one clip, not all** — Each clip has its own rotation, so you can fix a single sideways shot in a longer edit.

## FAQ

**Why does my phone video play sideways?**

Some phones save the rotation as a hint instead of rotating the pixels, and some players ignore it. Exporting from CutLuma bakes the rotation into the video so it plays the right way up everywhere.

**Will rotating lose quality?**

No. Rotation does not re-sample the picture; the export is at your project resolution.

**Can I rotate a video on my phone?**

Yes. The editor works in Chrome, Edge and Firefox, including on phones and tablets.
