CutLuma has an MCP server that lets an AI agent work inside your editor: the same commands you use, one Undo per request, and you watch every change happen.
Three steps, a couple of minutes
Create an agent key
Open any project, press Ctrl+K and choose “Connect an AI agent”. Create a key and copy the ready-made setup line for your agent.
Keep the editor tab open
The agent edits your open project. A pill in the top bar shows it is connected and what it just did.
Ask in plain words
“Cut the pauses, add captions and a title, make it right for YouTube and export it.” The agent checks its own work on a contact sheet before it finishes.

The agent can ask for any frame, or a sheet of frames across the whole video, and for loudness and colour readings as numbers. It edits, looks, and corrects.
Every editor command
Trims and three-point edits, text and captions, colour grading, the sound mixer, multicam, templates, AI tools and export are all commands an agent can run.
You stay in control
Nothing runs unless your editor tab is open in agent mode. Each request is one Undo step, and you can remove a key at any time.

Which agents work?
Any client that connects to a remote MCP server and can send a key in a header: Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code and others. Sign-in with a button for claude.ai and ChatGPT connectors is being added.
Is it free?
Yes, on every plan. AI features the agent uses inside the editor (captions, voices, generation) count against your plan as usual, and exports follow your plan.
Can the agent work while I am away?
It needs your editor tab open, because the edit, the preview frames and the export run in your browser. The tab can be in the background.
What is the server address?
https://cutluma.com/mcp. Searching templates, sizes and guides needs no key; editing your projects needs your agent key.
