Why use CutLuma for this
Any angle
Quarter turns for upside-down footage, or 2–3 degrees to level a crooked horizon.
Fix the shape too
A rotated landscape clip becomes portrait. Use the Resize tool to switch the canvas to 9:16 so there are no black bars.
Rotate one clip, not all
Each clip has its own rotation, so you can fix a single sideways shot in a longer edit.
Questions? Answers.
Why does my phone video play sideways?
Some phones save the rotation as a hint instead of rotating the pixels, and some players ignore it. Exporting from CutLuma bakes the rotation into the video so it plays the right way up everywhere.
Will rotating lose quality?
No. Rotation does not re-sample the picture; the export is at your project resolution.
Can I rotate a video on my phone?
Yes. The editor works in Chrome, Edge and Firefox, including on phones and tablets.
