Can the clips be different lengths?
Yes. Trim each one on the timeline; a cell shows its last frame or empty space when its clip ends, so trim them to match if you want a clean finish.
Do all the clips play sound?
Yes, mixed together. Mute the ones you do not want to hear in the inspector.
Is this a split-screen maker too?
Yes. A two-cell grid, side by side or stacked, is a split screen.
