Instagram Reels editor for your browser
Put Reels together from clips and photos, cut them to the beat of a song, add text and captions, and export a vertical video that’s ready to post.
Made for Instagram Reels
Reels are vertical: 1080 × 1920 pixels, 9:16. Pick that preset and the canvas is ready. Your profile grid shows a cropped cover of each Reel, so keep faces and the main text near the centre of the frame — then the cover still makes sense when it is cut down.
On screen, Instagram places the caption, audio label and buttons across the bottom and down the right side. Leave the bottom fifth and the right edge free of anything important. For regular feed videos rather than Reels, the 4:5 portrait preset takes up more of the screen than a square.
Photo dumps and recaps are where Reels shine. Auto montage takes your photos, clips and a song and places every cut on the beat, with gentle zooms on still images so nothing sits frozen. Everything it makes stays editable on the timeline afterwards.

Tools that help
Questions? Answers.
What size should an Instagram Reel be?
1080 × 1920 pixels (9:16). For a regular feed video, 1080 × 1350 (4:5) fills more of the screen than a square.
Can I add music to my Reel here?
Yes — any audio file you have the rights to, or free-to-use tracks from the stock library. Songs from Instagram’s own music library are added in the Instagram app.
Do I need to download an app?
No. The editor runs in your browser on a computer, and it also works in a phone browser. There is nothing to install.
Is it free?
Yes, the editor is free. Free exports are 720p with a small watermark; paid plans remove it, raise the resolution and include AI captions.
