Free government and public information video templates
Road closures, collection calendars, weather advisories, consultation invites, service hours and safety reminders for councils, agencies and community groups.
About these templates
A public notice has one job: tell residents what is happening, where, when and what to do about it. A road-closure notice draws the closed street and the diversion on a small map. A bin-day calendar marks general, recycling and garden waste collections with coloured dots. A water-off notice lists when, where, the water station and why. There are advisories for heat, flood warning levels, air quality and winter gritting routes, plus safety posts for smoke alarms and fireworks.
Everyday services are covered as well: library hours, a new bus route with its stops, parking zones and permits, school term dates, a street-light fault guide and a council jobs board. For participation there is a consultation post, a town hall agenda, a planning site notice and a “where your $100 goes” budget receipt. The voter registration reminder and the in-person voting walkthrough are non-partisan by design, with no parties or candidates. Sizes are 9:16, square, 4:5 and 16:9 for meeting screens.

Make them work harder
Lead with the date and the street
Residents scan a notice for two things: is it my road, and is it today. Keep the street name and dates in the largest type and leave the reason for the smaller lines.
Write it the way you would say it at the counter
Say “no water” instead of “interruption to supply” and “road” instead of “carriageway”; more people will act on it.
Check every detail against the official record
Each time, level, price and deadline on a template is sample text. Confirm it against the published notice before posting, and replace the video if the details change.
Questions? Answers.
Are the public information video templates free?
Yes. Any notice opens with a free account, and all of the text is editable. A free export is an MP4 with a small watermark; a paid plan exports it clean.
Who are these templates for?
Councils, city and county departments, fire and transport services, libraries, schools, parish and neighbourhood groups: anyone who has to tell residents something practical.
Are the voting templates neutral?
Yes. The registration reminder and the polling-day walkthrough contain no parties, candidates or positions. You edit the office, the deadline, the hours and the link.
Can I show a notice on a screen in a public building?
Yes. The 16:9 designs, such as the town hall agenda, term dates and jobs board, suit a lobby or meeting-room display. Export the MP4 and play it there.
